Big Barry Dance

Motion Control Dance has worked in partnership with Cadoxton Primary School for the past 3 years on the BIG BARRY DANCE legacy.  A whole school initiative to engage all members of the school community of students, staff & parents to express and enjoy themselves through dance.

This project began with an Arts Council of Wales grant for Motion Control Dance to create a shared dance experience based on Ashely Banjo’s Big Town Dance.  3 Primary schools in Barry took part in the project – Cadoxton, Romily and Barry Island.  Working with over 1000 students in just one month,  Dance tutors Emma Mallam and Yasmin Harcourt worked wonders to get everyone ‘Dancing in the Streets’!
