We are absolutely bursting with pride here at Motion Control Dance! We're thrilled to announce that our incredible Founding Director, Emma Mallam, was the recipient of the highly prestigious Triumph Over Adversity Award at the Bro Radio Community Awards 2025! The ceremony, held last night, was a truly heartwarming event, celebrating the unsung heroes of our community here in the Vale, and Emma's win was met with a resounding cheer.

This award is a testament to Emma's extraordinary resilience, unwavering determination, and inspiring spirit. Anyone who knows Emma knows that her journey has not always been an easy one. She has faced significant challenges with incredible strength and grace, consistently turning obstacles into opportunities to grow, learn, and, most importantly, to help others.

From the very beginning, Motion Control Dance was born out of Emma's profound passion for dance and her deep belief in its power to transform lives. Despite facing personal hurdles, she poured her heart and soul into establishing and growing this organisation, creating a safe, inclusive, and joyful space where people of all ages and abilities can experience the physical and mental benefits of dance. Her vision has touched countless lives, fostering confidence, building community, and spreading happiness throughout the Vale and beyond.

The "Triumph Over Adversity" award perfectly encapsulates Emma's ethos. She has consistently demonstrated that with courage and conviction, even the most challenging circumstances can be overcome, leading to remarkable achievements and profound positive impact. Her journey serves as a powerful reminder to us all that setbacks can be stepping stones to success, and that true strength lies in perseverance. The award was sponsored by Specsavers and presented to Emma by the mayor of Vale of Glamorgan - Cllr Naomi Marshallsea
